I was given two coupons to any Culvers location, from my father(not sure where he got them), with no expiration dates, good for one value basket. I have used one at this particular, they pointed out that it was not marked on the back for which store it came from, so she would need to speak to her manager about if it was valid. They ended up giving me the meal, and did not say anything about me not being able to use another one, with the knowledge I have another one at home. I come back a week later, this time through the drive thru, the manager tells me the coupon is not valid because it is unmarked/stamped, and they have already let one slide with me recently. I was understanding, but still let her know that I was not told that I couldn't use my other coupon last visit, and how I told them last time and this time, I had another coupon at home. She was apologetic, and explained why they couldn't take it. I asked for my coupon back before I drove away, and she refused to give it back, saying that because it isn't marked, that she couldn't, by company policy give it back. I've worked in the food service industry for 4 years and turned down several expired/or not approved by our franchise coupons. I've never heard of having to take the coupon from the customer. This was not a fraudulent coupon, it came from one of Culvers locations. I would not have submitted this complaint if she had just given my coupon back.
