Follow up on Elite Interiors Dispute

The first upholstery I selected - the cutting was significantly inferior to the sample. Elite admitted upholstery manufacturing had been moved to China and there was a company wide quality issue. I rejected it. THERE WAS NO INDECISION ON MY PART. Next I chose a leather and ordered a CFA. Four months later Elite called to say they could not get enough of the product to make the sectional. DESPITE A 4 MONTH WAIT, THEY COULD NOT FULFILL THE ORDER. THERE WAS NO INDECISION ON MY PART. The leathers they sent next turned out to be discontinued hides from other companies. Elite did not inform me of this fact. They were NOT Century leathers.. I chose one and requested a CFA. I WAS NOT INDECISIVE; I was fine with using another source but I EXPECTED TO GET WHAT I ORDERED and I had already waited months for furniture. Elite called to announce delivery/ NO ONE IN MYRTLE BEACH HAD SEEN THE SECTIONAL. Upon arrival it was clearly the WRONG COLOR, hand and texture. THERE WAS NO INDECISION OR CONFUSION ON MY PART. I have paid $21,918.00.; doesn’t that mean I OWN it? Despite this fact Elite will not send the photo showing the disparity between the CFA and the finished product. If they are principles and confident they are right, why is this a problem for them? My order was precise concerning cushion construction, nail heads, welting, top stitching etc. The CFA (cutting for approval) was requested and was my assurance the sectional would look the same. I am NOT indecisive or a novice; I have a MFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC. It’s certainly true that I am 76 and did not anticipate this catastrophe. The issues are QUAITY CONTROL, ORDER FULFILLMENT, BUSINESS PRACTICES AND REPUTABILITY. The issues are EITE ISSUES. Barclaycard stands behind these fraudsters. Resolution… I would rather claim a complete loss and use it as a tax deduction (including legal) than parse a solution that would ultimately benefit these folks financially. They probably paid $5-6 K for this debacle and have hijacked my life for over a year. Take a look at their reviews on YELP and the BBB…….the positive ones look curiously composed.
