We had reservations at Festiva in Atlantic Beach, NC for August, 2019. We were just notified this week (end of March) that the resort was damaged by Hurricane Florence - in Oct. and will be closed until 2020. They cancelled our reservation and returned our points to us. HOWEVER, it is now too late to make another reservation for this summer-everything is booked. So once again, Festiva has ruined our summer vacation. There should be some compensation from Festiva, like giving us an extra year to use these points(currently we can only carry them over for 1 year) or make the points current for next year as you can only use carried over points 150 days in advance. So, for my almost $2,000. in membership fees I will most likely lose 7600 points. This is totally unacceptable. No wonder Festiva has such a bad reputation!!!
