Failure to compensate me when delivery service failed to deliver the product ( ordered

I placed an order with Adidas over a month ago. They used a company called laser ship to allegedy deliver my package. The order was order to be delivered in two parts: One part by Fed Ex (which was delivered) and one part via lasership which was not delivered. Lasership admitted to me over the phone that they lost the package. However, they failed to upate their tracking sytem to reflect that they lost the package. On the tracking information, Lasership noted that the package was delivered to the warehouse, and then in a one minute time span, it was loaded on the delivery truck, and in the next minute, it was allegedly delivered to my house. Laser ship was alleging that they delivered my package in the time span of 3 minutes. This is obviously impossible. I was home that evening. The doorbell never rang. The 3 other people in my building did not receive the package. My neighbors did not receive the package. I have spent COUNTLESS hours on the phone with Adidas, who refuses to refund me or re-ship the package to a store (to be safe) or to my address. I am out $125+ tax and Adidas refuses to compensate me for a harm that they created by choosing to use Lasership to ship my order. I have called lasership with adidas on the line, and lasership has said that they will not compensate me. I have called Adidas headquarters and after waiting on hold for over 30 minutes when the person on the phone was allegedly "lookin in to this situation" they hung up on me. I am a working woman, and $120 + tax is a lot of money for me to lose! My grievance is this: Adidas is liable for failing to deliver my order. If they chose to hire laser ship to deliver the package, and laser ship failed to do so, then the problem should be Adidas' problem alone to grieve. After all, Adidas CHOSE to hire laser ship. They could have chosen fed ex or ups, but they opted not to. Adidas should not make their customer suffer have to pay for any loss incurred by Adidas' choice to hire an unreliable company. Adidas is a multinational corporation who can easily absorb the loss that THEY caused. Meanwhile, I have been forced to spend literally HOURS on hold, and on the phone with adidas, all for them to tell me that they choose to believe that the package was delivered when it clearly wasn't. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a corporation.
