Failing to deliver or return a deposit
In November 2010 I placed an order with Dynasty Iron Doors. Delivery was to be in 12 - 14 weeks. I am now told it will be at least 7 months. I asked them to return 50% of my deposit as a sign of good faith and they said I was "Absurd" for asking. I have filed with the Arizona BBB. Dynasty's owner Kevin Wright acknowledges his company is in financial trouble. He told me in February production had started and tells me now they are still in production. cleary a contradiction. Here are his responses. Jan 23 2010 What action are you talking about? As of now I still have 6 weeks to deliver your doors. We are not in default yet. I gave you the courtesy of a "heads up" on the delay and this is your response? Your suggestion of Dynasty giving you my credit card is absurd. I will do no such thing. We will be glad to work with you to come up with any solutions that might be necessary to fit your schedule or needs. Kevin WrightPresidentDynasty Iron Doors April 09th 2010 I just got your message and I am writing an email per you request. Your doors will not be here at the end of the month as we had hoped. We are looking at closer to the end of May. Your doors as well as many others were put on hold at the factory. Our credit terms were changed and we have been working to straiten that out. We have got our terms fixed and they will be putting your doors back into production we are hoping to have the doors complete and shipped in the next 4 weeks from the factory. Transit time is 3 weeks to us from China. Sorry for this additional delay but we are continuing to work though these difficult economic conditions. We appreciate your continued patience.
