Extremely upset with a sympathy order
Ordered sympathy arrangement, wanted grand gardenia plant, when I went to pay it was not available. I called the 800 number got a woman who argued with me and told me dish gardens were plants, when I wanted a regular plant that could be transplanted outside in that area. Told her it was for my suddenly deceased male cousins wife. I finally said ok - have the special value dish garden done locally - I know they use local seasonal plants and flowers so they can deliver same day. The plant was nice, in the wicker basked I ordered. However, it had a bright pink checkered ribbon and bright pink tulips - FOR A SYMPATHY ARRANGEMENT FOR A MAN???? What were these people thinking?? I sent email to the company - got response to call customer service, I did. Got another woman who again spoke to me as if I am stupid. She had an accent - did not listen either. Either they do not train their phone people or they need to pick better ones. She was going to resent the same item without flowers to the same address?? What good does that do? Called another number thinking it was corporate, got a gentleman who at least listened to me and started a resolution. Now I have to send a copy of the picture of the arrangement to them, then wait for their "decision". So my relatives think I lost my blithering mind sending something like that for sympathy. They have to leave Chilton, Wisconsin to go to Lockport, Illinois for the actual limited service at the funeral home and then to the burial in Odell, Illinois. The widow will not be back for at least a week or more to handle everything. Now I am sending a real funeral arrangement to the funeral home which is a waste of money for a short service in this stupid virus regulations in Illinois. Disgusted
