After over 1 year banging our heads against the wall with Freedom Steel, we finally had to cut our losses and go with another company that could give us a building meeting our needs. The worst part is that at the time of contract termination, they decided to keep our entire $15,000 deposit, refusing to honor their previous quotes of $4,200 in non-refundible engineering costs. They claim to have integrity and put the customer first, but the truth is that they are a small sales office with an incompetent program management team lacking the ability to execute even the simplest projects. After MONTHS of arguing with their accounting team and fake legal department, I was able to recover $4,000 of the $11,000 we were owed. I'm shocked that they would rather burn us and pocket an extra $7,000 instead of honoring their commitments. Reading some of the other reviews from people who lost a lot more at the hands of Freedom Steel's negligence makes me feel like we probably dodged a huge bullet cutting ties before our project got to production. The shockingly poor technical competence and ethics of this company means that they won't be in business much longer. There are a lot of really good companies out there doing great work; I HIGHLY recommend choosing anyone else for your project.
