Don’t bother with Maths Doctor. Pay peanuts you get monkeys

I signed my daughter up with Maths Doctor online (We're based in Kent) for GCSE maths tuition and the whole thing is just a disaster. FYI, they provide online tutors and you have to have a set amount of tutoring each month. First of all, they tempt you in with all sorts of claims about awards they've won and nominations they've received, but they couldn't actually verify these claims when I pressed them on it! Second, their online platform is awful. The tutors were late for plenty of sessions and the software broke down regularly. It was completely unreliable, Maths Doctor look to be just cutting corners on this to save costs. Finally, the tutor quality! Or lack of! We were paying £26 p/h which granted is very cheap, but the tutors were so unprofessional it beggered belief. The first tutor we got was very poor, and we asked for more info on their background we discovered that they didn't even have a degree, they were from Bulgaria and had done some online Maths course, that was it! So while the service seems cheap and convenient it's actually a rip off when you consider the quality of the teaching. Not sure how they hire their online tutors, but they must only pay them around £10 p/h. Stay away, service is a sham.
