Tried to return a obviously faulty item. Had a reference no from head office customer service team to take item into a store which the nearest was 50 minutes away Leeds springs the manager named Verity would not accept reference number as proof of purchase and said she rang head office who had given me it and they would not give her any info regarding this item. I had to ring back head office and gain an order number as well as the reference number and take that along with my bank statement to obtain the £89.99 refund . That meant another 50 minute drive home 50 minute back and 50 minute return drive to get my proof of purchase when I had been told the reference no was enough proof . I complained and the manager told head office I was abusive and intimidating. I am 5 foot tall and 60 years of age . The manager needs sacking she is a disgrace to the company. I will be writing to the CEO I am disgusted by the way my return to store was dealt with when she so easily could have obtained the information she needed by the reference number. She just lied to me and made TK maxx look a shambles
