Do Not Expect Boston Proper To Refund You Fairly
1
I had a return for Boston Proper. The paperwork and website clearly define it has to be returned before 30 days. It also states that you will get a full refund less the $4.95 shipping. When I received my refund I was short $10.65. When I called customer service I was told they kept the additional $10.65 in taxes. They said Boston Proper does not refund the tax!!! What??? This is highly illegal unless I return past the 30 days and didn't have a receipt. How does Boston Proper think they can keep tax money when there is nothing to be taxed on? When I spoke to them the customer service rep refused to let me speak to a supervisor - when I persisted she acted like she couldn't hear me. I then called again...still waiting to speak to someone. It isn't the money amount - it is the principle...this is theft by taking. If they are doing this to all the customers who return - I am thinking they are making quite a bit of free money. This smells like a class action law suit...just saying. How sad that companies don't do the right thing by their consumers. I will be spreading the word on Boston Proper...Shame on them!!!
