On 4/21/21 at 11:21 am my husband and I went to the Zaxbys in Sanford, Florida drive through and ordered 4 signature chicken sandwiches. All 4 signature chicken sandwiches we ordered through drive thru were COLD. Also they charged us .15 cents per sandwich for extra pickles. This was not expressed to us when we placed the order. Neither Popeye's or McDonald's charges extra for pickles on their sandwiches, so I don't know if this is Zaxbys just being extremely stingy with their ingredients. No restaurant that we know of charges extra for pickles. Very disappointed with the quality and price for the signature sandwiches. These sandwiches are not worth $4.99 plus an additional .15 cents for pickles, then we get cold food. Popeye's clearly has the better chicken sandwich priced at $3.99 each and if you want extra pickles they don't charge the customers. It seems since COVID19 hit Zaxbys has gone down hill with the food quality but has no problem charging higher prices than Popeye's and McDonald's, and McDonald's is known for scamming their customers with food quality. Please have one of your quality control personnel visit this location because not everyone preparing the food wears a mask according to health and safety guidelines from the CDC. My husband and I will not be patronizing Zaxbys again, because $22.00 for 4 cold chicken sandwiches is absolutely ridiculous and that is scamming the customers. Popeye's chicken sandwiches are better and they put more meat on the sandwiches and we have never received cold chicken sandwiches from Popeye's. Our visit to this Zaxbys was at 11:21 am before the lunch rush so they were not busy at this time. This location just has a lack of attention to detail. ivingthe customer quality food. User's recommendation: Do not visit the Sanford Zaxbys.
