Disrespectful visit
This is my first review. I generally look for positives, but this one was so bad that I had to walk out. I requested a price quote through on-line. I get an email from Alexandra(Alex) with a price and request for a "VIP appointment" and to discuss features and options. I called her back to check if they would match internet price from another dealer, and the answer was just bring in the price quote and we can match it. I told her that I would be driving 25 miles after work and I don't want to waste my time. The only reason I am coming to Prime is because they had a car for the color we wanted. Next day, I scheduled a time to meet with Tina through Alex. Next day, I get an email from John Marino:"My name is John Marino, General Manager at Prime Honda Boston. I wanted to personally send you an e-mail to thank you for the opportunity to earn your business and ensure you receive a world-class experience from our dealership. " I went there at sharp 7:30PM. I asked for Tina and/or John. John looked at with a surprise. His sales person walked me over to a table. I sat there for fifteen min. The sale person comes over after about 15 min. and grabs my folder. I told him that this is my folder and you need to ask me before opening. I told him that I had VIP appt. with Tina/John at 7:30PM. John walks over to my table after another 5-7 min. not acknowledging my appointment. No apology for the delay. I told him about my reason for the visit to his dealership. John goes away to handle some other business, then finds a key for the car. we walk over to car. I asked him a question about tire size. They didn't look standard. John tells me that I don't know as my sales people take care of these appointments. I am really feeling like "VIP..??" at this point. I turned on a light in the car to see inside. I forgot to turn it off as I exited the vehicle. John asked me to turn it off, then he locks the car. We walk inside. I discussed the internet price. John looked at the paperwork and said I cannot match. John would match the price only from the area. So I gave him another proposal from the area. He was not pleased with it at this point. He wanted a written quote. I had written car price with all the details, but John was not interested in seeing it. I asked him why would I want to do business with his dealership if the dealership cannot provide better pricing than the competition. I told him my conversation with Alex regarding price match. He said that Alex was misinformed, and he would talk to Alex. In a nutshell, John was coldest and arrogant sales person I have ever met. Needless to say that his behavior and body language was rude and unwelcoming. I walked out of there wasting my time.
