I am madder than hell! We are suffering through extended multiple all day blackouts when ERCOT decided they did not need to properly prepare for such a major cold snap unlike many other states, like Oklahoma having much worse weather than us here in Texas has had. Oklahoma has had over 5000 power outages I understand as compared to the MILLIONS of people here in North Texas alone! When ERCOT asked ONCOR to find areas that they can do recurring 15 -30 minute blackouts, ENCOR decided to make it easy of themselves and just keep the blackouts in certain less affluent areas with an occasional 1 to 2 hour reprieve to tease with power a couple of times a day at the most!!! We drive around in and checked other areas of the community out to prove our suspicions and sure enough we were right!!! The most affluent areas of our community continued to have power for the most part while our area of the city did not even have street lights or traffic lights! A heavy majority of small businesses that were closed and did not even need electricity continued to have power to light their stores while suffering families had no where to go but get sick! Everyone should take their turn on these blackouts, PERIOD! The length of time without power should be proportional. We are going to lose all of our perishables in our refrigerator and freezer! This discrimination and lack of preparedness has to end, NOW!!! I assure you that I may not live in the most affluent areas of the city. but I do have plenty of money to check into my legal options and hold legally responsible, the companies and organizations guilty in this miscarriage of responsibility and justice for every human being that ONCOR and ERCOT are suppose to serve!!! They deserve to be fired!!!
