Discrimination and Property Neglect

5

In this apartment complex, I have seen so much neglect and discrimination with the manager that is running this property that I do not understand how come the City of Dallas has never come through and conducted a proper inspection. There are so many illegal immigrants that live there that you would think that you are in another world, I noticed that there are no parking spaces for the residents. If all of these people are residents, then, damn, you would need to be like Jerry Jones and create 50 new parking spaces like he did seats in the new stadium. My youngest has told me of the consistent vandalism that occurs such as, for example - car windows are broken almost every night and radios are stolen and the cars are trashed as my youngest had his car vandalized. The property does not take liability for any of that which I believe is unfair and unsafe, as well as frightening to the current residents. And as he has told me, about 80% of the vandalism is from the "youngster" residents and local drug dealers that live on property. I have heard that they have a "crime Strike" patrol, but my child has never seen him come throgh to patrol. You always see vagabonds in the dumpsters pulling out the trash and just leaving it all over the back parking lot and nothing is done about it, as he witnesses everyday before he goes to work. I always see people drinking outside where there are so many children around, running and playing, which really pisses me off because there are signs on each part of the buildings throughout the complex that state specifically no loitering and no drinking, in english and spanish. How in the hell are you going to hang a sign and not enforce it's reason for being there and that is what I call poor management and lack of morale for the community where the residents reside. The manager is supposedly aware of these problems, but takes no action in maintaining a safe and clean environment. I have been to the office on several occasions to speak with the manager in question, but each and every time I arrive there at the office, she is nowhere to be found and unable to be contacted. I have called on several different occasions to the office and have never spoken to her. I am going through the proper and official process to bring the City of Dallas into this community because it is not fair to the people who work hard everyday and don't know if they are going to come home to their property damaged, running over broken glass everywhere, watching vagabonds dissect the waste bins in the parking lot and people stealing property from other residences and placing those stolen items in clear sight of the place that the theives took it to such as their balcony or the parking lot. It really upsets me and I just needed to share this because I believe that when you live in an apartment community anywhere, your manager should always make themselves known to the residents with an open-door policy, making all feel comfortable knowing that they are safe and live in a good environment. Also, the maintenance, as I have witnessed myself when visiting my son and grandchildren, do a half ### job of maintaining the safety and the cleanliness of the apartment homes and the property itself. Anyone can push a broom, but knowing that children play in the grass and there is glass in almost every square inch of the front of the complex that just sits and waits to tear open someone's skin. I just want all to be aware of the fact that Park Place Apartments in Dallas @ 2108 Garrett Avenue is not the place for anyone to venture into unless you just don't care. I hope that with all that has been said here that someone finally opens their eyes and takes action to the problem that does not care to find a solution for the livliehood of their residents. A damn shame. May you all that live there be safe and take care. The picture of the male below is a known drug dealer in these apartments and has a circle of young female that he is known to sexually enjoy at the ages of 15 and 16. The young one that is 17, just turned, is named Daisy. She lives there with her mother by herself and has numerous men that come for her. This is the type of trash that this place holds and does nothing about when problems arise. I hope that this shows you something about this place. I just could not have my children live there any longer, so I paid for them to relocate because I became tired of the excessive complaints that my son share with me on a consistent basis. Thank you for letting me share.
