I recently had my niece take her 2017 INFINITI QX60 (the vehicle I purchased for her), to the Take 5 Oil Change store #0027 located at 1836 W MALLARD CREEK CHURCH RD, CHARLOTTE, NC 28262, for a basic oil change and coolant refill. After visiting this location for a simple oil change, air filter, and coolant exchanged, she noticed the check engine light appeared after a few hours after having this work done on her vehicle. Without being an expert in auto mechanic, she assumed the check engine light was on only because the oil had recently been changed, which was not the case). After driving the vehicle for several days with the check engine light still on, the vehicle finally broke down completely. Once we had the vehicle towed to INFINITI of Charlotte, it was later determined after a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection was performed that, the Technicians at the Take 5 store #0027 had forgotten to put her dip stick back into the dip stick tube. Because of this grave error on the technician's behalf, it caused the oil to come out the dip stick tube and damage the alternator, the belt, and the battery. I called and spoke with a James Johnson and an Antonio who both stated they were the general managers of this location, and was told they are not repairing the vehicle. This gross abuse of authority by both individuals, has caused our vehicle to be broken down and my niece is not able to go to work or school. Please if you can, avoid going to this location to have any work done on your vehicle, because they do not have your best interest at heart for your car. the wor User's recommendation: Go elsewhere to have your vehicle serviced.
