I had a 3 ring set of diamond rings resized at the Zales store in Norman, OK. When the rings came back into the store, the manager said that the diamonds had been removed for cleaning! I did not ask for the rings to be cleaned or diamonds removed. I was stunned...never had my rings had the diamonds removed for any reason. I noticed that the brilliant sparkle was no longer there. The diamonds had been replaced. Now, there is a yellowish dark look where some of the diamonds had been replaced with who knows what. It has been 4 years since this happened and I realize that nothing can be done now, but I wanted to speak up so that this could not happen to someone else. I am in my 70's and I believe that often elderly are taken advantage of because of age and the reluctance to speak up in situations like this. This set was expensive back in the 70's when purchased.
