Deposit is not really a deposit

Update by user May 22, 2020 I have 10 of the 5 gallon jugs sitting around. I bought more than I could possibly use because I had assumed that Primo’s “deposits” worked like any other regular deposit. Original review posted by user May 22, 2020 They have not been giving anything until recently, so the $1 thing is certainly a step in the right direction, but hardly enough to make a difference for the consumer. I’m sure it’s just a gimmick so that they can say they are a ‘recycler’. There is lots of govt funding available to such businesses. So it really isn’t anything to be happy about since it only serves them and does nothing for the consumer who has excess jugs to return. If you are going to charge me $7.50 for a deposit fee, then I expect to receive $7.50 back upon return of the product. That is exactly what a deposit is supposed to be. I buy your crap and pay you more than it’s worth, and you give me the overage back because I chose to recycle it. Just like soda. I buy a pop at the store and pay you an extra 5 cents deposit. Then I return my empty can for recycling purposes and you give me that nickel back. That is what a deposit is and that is how a deposit works
