dentist not on site and prescribing treatment

3

Went into Coast Dental office in Vero Beach, Florida for scheduled routine cleaning when the new hygienist told me she would have to call the dentist, who was out of the office due to illness, and check to see if she could clean my teeth claiming my measurements were different than they were 6 months earlier (even though most of the numbers were better than appointment 6 months earlier). She came back and stated the dentist told her over the phone, that she could only clean my teeth if I were to receive an "irrigation treatment". Understand, I have only seen that dentist at this site on two previous cleanings were he never stated problems with my teeth, but now there's a problem when HE DIDN'T EVEN EXAMINE MY TEETH?!! Needless to say, I will be filing a formal complaint with the State of Florida.
