deceptive return policy
1
I contacted customer service to send me a size guide for a dress I was considering buying which they did. I ordered according to the size guide. The dress was over $550. Shipping was prompt but I was out of town when the package arrived. Upon my return, I tried on the dress to discover it did not fit. I contacted customer support for a return authorization. They responded that I could not return the item because I was a couple of days outside of their return window of 14 days (now changed to 5 days according to their new policy) and that they would not accept it. I responded that I had not been made aware of this extremely strict return policy upon making a purchase and a rep responded to me telling me that I had to click the terms and conditions link upon checking out (shown in very fine print). Seriously...I need a magnifying glass to even see it. Now I'm stuck with a dress that is too small and I lost $550. I see every negative review about this company is about their deceptive return policy and horrible customer service. As an aside, I think it's rude to write to customers in all caps to get a point across. Also, directly on the merchant's (at the bottom) is their claim to 580 5-star reviews. I asked customer service where I could leave a review about my experienced and I was directed to a site where they had 414 reviews and a lower overall rating (with many complaints about the deceptive return policy). I believe the reviews on their site are fake. Order # 10079 Item purchased #67318 Amount essentially stolen from me: $550
