Customer Service Complaint – TIMMINS, ONTARIO

1

Date of Incident: Wednesday March 31, 2021 at approx. 12pm. My friend and I were checking out at the register with an older East Indian Woman. Soon as she saw us she started giving us attitude. When my friend showed her his status card she started giving him heck about his expiry date. Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) has extended the validity date of status cards until further notice. She said "NO thats a lie and you need to go to band office like everyone else" he said "No its not open back home!" she ended up taking it anyways so they completed the sale. He left to the vehicle. It was my turn to check out. I said "here you go -- here's my status not sure if you take it in the beginning or at the end". She looks at me, takes deep breath and says "Really? how many times do you use this card and don't know!" I said "I honestly don't remember cause I haven't been shopping in a while" she sighs and says "really? when's the last time you shopped? I said "I don't know maybe in December as I am not from Timmins!" she seemed very upset - i don't know what I did to her but she treated me very badly. She was just a bad apple.
