customer loses money due to employees mistake

I was getting an increase to my existing loan and everything was going well until they started loading the credit card. he made a mistake by pushing the wrong button on the phone which declared it lost or stolen. there's a $10 fee for that in which he did offer to pay out of his pocket. turns out he couldn't issue me a new card on the spot because when it's declared lost or stolen, one is automatically sent in the mail and you can't stop that so I have to wait 7-10 days. that's one problem. then I asked why I should be paying the higher interest rate on the next payment when I don't have the increase yet, which is a $60 difference, he said he was able to clear $30 off 1 payment. so I'm losing $30 for his mistake! the customer shouldn't have to lose money over an employee mistake!!! waiting the extra time was bad enough!
