Could be good, but so many misinformation

I found a pair of pants I really wanted and so happened I knew the brand by just looking at the item. In the description I see that they describe completely different brand, including the items they sell, the country of origin, the material, etc. Does the website requires a proof of the description the seller brings up? I can’t imagine what someone would feel when he actually purchased the item to find it to be a totally different one
