Consignor not paid by Hula Gypsy

I gave Anna Jackson (owner of Hula Gypsy) many pieces of vintage jewelry ($1,340 worth) to sell on consignment back in 2011. Anna made small payments as items were sold, up to a total of $890, either by cash or check. Checks were either not filled out correctly, or not covered by money in her account. Other excuses were made for not making payments...stolen credit card, not having her checkbook with her, "I'm waiting on money from England", various health issues, "I have to rent a car", "I have to make rental payments on the business and a place to live" and her husband left her. At the same time Anna was running ads on craigslist, looking to "pay cash" for vintage jewelry from other people "top dollar paid!". She also ran ads advertising a "free gift of vintage jewelry" with each purchase. Anna promised payment in full ($450) by June 19, 2012. By August 5, 2012, I received an email that she had surgery, her husband left her, and she was being taken to court by the landlord of her business. I requested numerous times that my jewelry be returned to me. She opted instead to keep it, sell it, and pocket the money. I was told that she had to sell her car to pay $2,000 in legal fees, and that she would set aside money to pay me. On September 20, 2012, I was told that sales are slow, and that her cat died, and that she would send me money on October 15, 2012. I gave her three options...she can keep the jewelry, and pay me $450 in full, I can pick the jewelry up, or we can do a trade from her inventory. She kept delaying payment, refusing to let me pick up my jewelry, or would not agree to a trade. She then agreed to pay $150 on October 15, November 15 and December 15, 2012. Of course, payment was not made on October 15. I gave her until October 20 to make payment in full, or I would file in Small Claims Court. She claimed she could not come to the court hearing because of a doctor's appointment. After the court hearing I went to her shop, and she was there ;(. She has drug out making payments for two years now, and it appears that I will never see the total amount that she owes. She has since closed her shop.
