Cheese molded before expiration while in Fridge

I purchased a pack of shredded cheese at the end of May that had an expiration of August 17th. The cheese expired/molded before expiration (about a month and a half later). I noticed it on June 10th. Its disappointing, considering the fact that I still had over a month before the expiration on the package. Annoyed that I wasted my money on this
