Checking on order

Tried calling about an order not received, no one answers, instead a recorded message says to submit all questions thru the eBay website I have submitted the questions twice, the first time 5 days ago. Recorded message says they will respond within 24 hrs. Not sure what to do. If you arent going to answer the phone why provide a telephone number?? User's recommendation: Lacking communication.
