Charged me for a trip last April

On March 21, 2020 BookIt.com sent an email stating that they were canceling a trip that I had paid for due to COVID-19! I have been unable to reach them and the insurance company told me that I was unable to get it paid for because BookIt stated that it was a refundable expense. I paid for it with my debit card so they cannot help me get my money back! I am at a loss and unsure of where to turn.
