Carshield wants you to pay upfront for diagnosis, without guarantee they will honor the warranty

Carshield sold me a $5,000 , 100,000 mile warranty on my 2011 BMW X6 i50 with the N63 twin turbo engine These engines are known to fail at 100,000 miles range. There has been a class action suit against BMW in which they honored that in these engines rod bearings will fail due to tight clearances in the engine build. BMW also admitted that these engines will lose an absurd amount of oil between oil changes. Knowing all of this, Carshield sold me a warranty and said Bearings were covered, Rocker Arms, etc. First Carshield wants me to pay $1500 to tear down the engine to determine the fail of the bearing, then they will decide whether or not Carshield will pay for the repair. This is a scam. I am not going to pay an additional $1500 and then have Carshield tell me they aren't covering the repair Do not buy this warranty! Ido b User's recommendation: Do not buy Carshield.
