Car repairs

1

On 11/18/16 my car was towed to Double "N" Automotive an AAA approve car car center. After several days the mechanic called me and told me what was wrong with the car. I was given the impression that when this was repaired the car would be okay. The mechanic called to tell me the car was ready and I mentioned that I just needed an oil change and inspection. Then the mechanic told me the car had other issues like the transmission and something else was wrong and it wouldn't pass. When I went to pick up the car I paid $600.00. I got into the car and it wouldn't move. The mechanic told me to put the car in drive one and two and so forth. I proceeded to drive away and shortly after leaving the car care center I got stuck again. The car would not move. My point is that I should have been told all this before any work was done on the car. Now I spent $600.00 on a car that isn't drive able. I feel that I was ripped off for $600.00. I want a refund for this.
