BEWARE!! Unprofessional Company

1

Update by user May 20, 2020 I contacted Whirlpool/Maytag manufacturer and they chose to send Advantage Appliance Repair to complete warranty work. I basically am out the purchase price and install price of my dishwasher until I can get it repaired. As of this date, dishwasher is STILL unrepaired and unreplaced!! I may have gotten a LEMON. Original review posted by user Apr 20, 2020 I'm posting this periodically until there is some sort of accountability. I have filed a BBB complaint and ask all of my friends to share this far and wide. This company "services" Massachusetts, Connecticut, and North Carolina. I do not understand HOW a company who has a contract with Lowes Hardware can undertake warranty work, tear the customer's appliance apart, leave it to order a part, and then the OWNER, Brian, REFUSE to send another tech out. They're basically, midjob and walk off leaving the customer hanging!! I don't get how this is being "professional". I know this is long, but please, hear me out. RE: ADVANTAGE APPLIANCE REPAIR They don't care about their customers!! The technician came into my home complaining that he had been sent out during the COVID VIRUS when most people are staying home. He made it very clear that he did NOT want to be here. I was NOT sick, NOT coughing, NOT sneezing, but he told his supervisor that I was sick and he was scared. He took the dishwasher out and partially disassembled it then said he had to order a part and would have to come back out. He shoved the dishwasher back under the counter in a disarray. He left and a month later, I am trying to get them back out. When I talk to Brian, he claims I am lying about the linoleum and that his tech did not tear my linoleum, AND that they're not responsible. He claims he has before pictures that show the floor ripped, never mind I sent him photos of the rip. For all I know, he's using my pictures as the before pictures. So anyway, when I ask for a different technician, he tells me he's just going to cancel the service appointment and I can start all over with Maytag or Whirlpool and have them send out a new company/tech, never mind his tech left my dishwasher partly disassembled and shoved back in under the counter. Now I am almost 66 years old and a widow, a customer, and this is how I'm treated. Do you really want these people servicing your appliances!!?? UPDATE: The NEW company tech came out today (NOT Advantage Appliance repair). He was extremely courteous and professional. He could not believe how Advantage's tech left the dishwasher, all torn apart and pulled out then shoved back in. He said only someone inexperienced would have done that. He said all that needed to be repaired was the door latch and it would only take 5 minutes to fix and NO NEED to pull the whole unit out. Of course, being that the part has to be ordered (AGAIN, because I'm starting all over again with a new company!) But, I'm not complaining. I'm glad to be rid of Advantage Appliance Repair! Reading some of the other reviews, I consider myself lucky that was all I had to endure from Advantage. Yes, they're called Advantage,... because they seek their OWN advantage and NOT that of the customer!!!! BEWARE!!! Check their reviews! User's recommendation: BEWARE... STAY AWAY FROM THEM...CHECK REVIEWS.
