Banana Hobby…the battle has just begun!!!

Recently returning from active duty in Iraq, my wife surprised me with a very thoughtful Christmas gift. She put a lot of thought into this gift, trying to think of a hobby that would keep my mind occupied, hands busy and provide an escape from home. She decided to introduce me to RC airplanes. She placed an order with Bananahobby.com for an airplane. The package came and I was just like a kid...excitement beyond belief. I didn't waste any time. Assembly was easy. The one thing wrong was the servo horn on the wing that controls the aileron was stuck to the foam, preventing the servo from moving. I gently pryed the horn loose and realized the servo arm was working freely. The gears inside were broken. I followed directions from the web site on how to report defective products. After 6 attempts and 2 weeks had passes with no response from Banana Hobby, I decided to try replacing the servo at my own expense. Being a beginner at the RC hobby, I had no idea that servos came in many different varieties. They all looked the same to me. I purchased and installed the incorrect type and went for a maiden flight. Finally, after two weeks, I can finally try my Christmas gift...almost into the next year! The plane took flight perfectly...however, when I tried turning to the left, stability vanished. I managed to recover 3-4 times and when I was bringing it back to check the cause, it went straight down into the ground resulting in something that resembled Roswell, New Mexico. Debris was everywhere. The plane was a total loss. So much for a relaxing hobby. I have never recieved any contact from bananahobby.com. My opinion, Banana Hobby depends on these things to happen in order to avoid returns and refunds. I cannot return this item at this point because of the crash and now I have nothing after almost $300 going to these scammers. I have tried contacting them to see if I can get a replacement fuselage at a dicounted price. So far...10 attempts...Well, I am pissed at the lack of service. The site stated 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Just try to follow-up on that guarantee...It does no good to give a guarantee if you do not respond to your customers...I think that fits the description of FRAUD!!!!!! Battle isn't over yet...I just got out of a combat zone and I am still in the combat mode...its just time to change the mission. Beware Banana Hobby...I am not finished with you yet
