The baggage drop line was so long my son missed his flight, even though we were at the airport 2 hours before. He was headed to his first day of college. Now he's rebooked a day later — and we feel as though we have get to the airport 4 hours ahead to be sure it doesn't happen again. Passengers all around us had to be rebooked. All agents were taking rebooking, which meant baggage drop screeched to a halt. This process will have many people missing flights all day long. The people in front of us had it happen yesterday and today. That's why we feel we have to leave so much time — because of Delta's processes. The line is even longer than this video shows.
