Bad service, Bad product, poor shipping

From the first moment I dealt with this company, I knew I should have been more careful. Customer service at the beginning was very poor. They forgot my order and failed to call back after an inquiry. Eventually when they realized I was goinf to spend about $5000 with them, they paid some attention. I ordered the DIY gate and it came with pitiful instructions. The instructions did not go into the detail necessary for a DIY installation. This ended up costing me two weekends of work and hiring a welder to come out and reposition the hinges of the gate because they were installed on the wrong side of the post. Additionally, the brackets to hang the gate had the wrong size hole drilled in them. The instructions never mentioned which side to have the hinges facing. They failed to send some of the products that I paid for and the gate once unpacked had huge gouges out of the aluminum. The gouges were covered by the shipping cardboard. My advice...do not buy from Gatecrafters.com. They say they have excellent technical support but the yahoos on the other end of the phone really don't seem like they know what they are doing. My biggest complaint however, is that if you are planning to do this yourself, think twice. The instructions are seriously lacking in detail and schematics.
