Bad Delivery of Tickets and Overcharging Quote for Change in Tickets

I am based in Mumbai and booked 2 return tickets from Mumbai to Houston in July 2015 for travel in Oct 2015. I made full payment on booking and despite constant follow up, they only gave vague assurances. The assurances ranging from del;ivery by evening to within next few days. Most worrysome was that the same person will never attend to you. I had a distinct feeling that they always assume a new name while dealing with customers who had made payment, so as to make new commitments. Since there was no sign of tickets, I travelled all the way from Mumbai to Chandigarh thus negating any savings, I may have made in ticket price. I had to stage a tharna / demonstration in their office and threatened to hold a demonstration in the mail lobby of building when they somehow issued a ticket. While in US, I wanted to make a small change in my itinerrary. Initial itineraray was ex Houston 3rd April- Istanbul. Halt at Istanbul from 4th till 10th April and depart from Istanbul on 10th April. When I tried to contact the company on phone or through email or online chat, I realised that the company is probably shut. I had personal phone no of one Mr Kamal, who was working with this company. He claimed that he has left the company, however he offered to help with chanage in travel dates and demanded USD 380 to be remitted to his personal account. However when I approached Turkish AIrline directly for change in travel dates, they changed it for only USD 80/- My experience has been extremely bad but luckily, I got the tickets, even though I had to travel to Chandigarh and fortunately I did not pay Mr Kamal in his personal account.
