Got to sign a contract with Ashton to build a home in Florida. After we pick the lot they ask for over $20 thousand dollars down. They put us in payment. The day we went to close many but many months later, we did not qualify for the loan anymore, because they were some guidelines change with student loans on conventional loans. So we did not qualify for the loan. Ashton decided to keep our deposit and not give us a single penny back which is not legal to do. We contacted the head quarter the CEO of Ashton in Georgia and he did ignore every call or email. We had to take them to court to get our money back. This builder is BAD not only just building but they are NOT honest at all. They also sold the house for more than what they were selling the home for us and they took forever to give us our money back after going back and forth with out attorneys. They also collected interest money. They are *** artist and bad people. Not ethical or professional.
