I have a 2012 36 inch microwave which is no longer made. The current models are not wide enough to fit properly. The model number is KHMS2056SSS3. I had kitchenaid service out to look at the problem, error code F2.H2 (hood key scanning) call service. I have been asking the service rep to research this to confirm that the part needed is no longer being made or available. This issue is related to the vent fan below the microwave no the microwave operation itself. I called the Kitchenaid number for major appliances to see if I could talk with someone in technical support to diagnose this. To my amazement and shock, I was told Kitchenaid does not have anyone capable of diagnosing the issue. Factory authorized service tech has been to the house but the error did not present itself at that moment. Tech said buy a new one...since the part he thought was the problem is no longer made. The part is available on Ebay, but I would like to confirm its the correct one before buying it. To buy a new one would require reconfiguring cabinets in kitchen, matching colors, etc.
