Apple iPad consumer scam

2

When I called Apple support my iPad needed a new battery. They took my credit card said it would cost $200. I sent it in a box Apple provided. A few days later I get an email from them with 3 stamp sized blurry pictures showing what they called a "ding" on one of the corners. I couldn't see anything but maybe a pin head size area they circled on one of the corners. The email says we won't replace the battery unless you pay an additional $299 for a new frame! I called and after an hour on the phone they tell me Apple standards require the item be in brand new perfect shape when we return it with a new battery! It's a total scam they get you to send it in for a new battery then upsell you on fixing a ding or they won't fix the battery! Why would anyone pay $500 for a new battery. They didn't learn from the battery class action and are up to more scams now! Someone needs to file a new class action!
