An expensive lesson
1
I wish I could say we deserve to be able to cancel our contract. But they did use deceit on my husband, while I was the one who thought it was too much to pay. He didn't. After our hearing test, they put trial hearing aids on us and asked what we thought. He was delighted - said it got rid of the ringing in his ears. I said mine didn't. When we got them, the ones they programmed for us, he was disappointed, because the ringing wasn't gone. But by then, he was hooked on having them. I never was. They're still uncomfortable to wear. And because they're behind the ear, I've had to eliminate several of my glasses I need to wear because the stems are too thick. I feel sad. And will have to live with this the rest of my life. I just got in the mail an offer for hearing aids that my insurance will cover. I could get a pair for only $330. Miracle Ear had told us our insurance will never cover hearing aids. I should have checked. This is what we get for believing a company that is willing to charge you megabucks.
