Recently we had a thermal expansion valve (TXV) fail on one of our air conditioners. Choice has denied our claim stating that there were foreign materials in the line. There would be no way to know there was contamination of a sealed system without opening the system, which did not occur. The valve failed from normal operations, according to the technician that came out, which is covered under the warranty plan purchased. Both air conditioners were serviced on April 13, 2021 by American Home Water & Air. After an additional conversation with a case manager, the claim was denied a second time. It is time to request a refund for the remainder of the contract.
