Advertised Prices are Not What You Pay

1

Advertised price was $22214, asked to lease it, said monthly payment would be at that time he said around $350.00. I complained and he now says he didn't have the figures in front of him when he called me and these are the real numbers - $403.36 a month for 36 months with residual of $15084 and $400 down, now doesn't that make the total for this car over $29000 and all of the sudden I have a bunch of residual that I will owe on my trade. When he first spoke to me he said I did not have any residual on my trade in, so I was ok on that and that would not be an issue. I said why is this so high, he said the sale price is different than a lease price. Luckly, I record all phone calls. Then he sent the paperwork to me and all of the sudden I have a charge of $849 for super polysteel dent and $299 for pulse brake light - whatever those are, never heard of those before. Now mind you, my husband just leased a Silverado at $48000 at $368 a month for 36 months with a $30000 residual. The numbers just don't add up.
