My 2014 Sierra which has only 35k miles on it is not covered as other model years were. This was obviously a part defect and should be therefore be covered ,even recalled. Now I am facing a $1250.00 bill for an item that should last nearly indefinitely. But typically should not have any problems until 65k miles at least. User's recommendation: Don't just look at recall history but on the internet for the truth about a vehicles true quality and the OEM"S Handling of premature component failures.
