A “free gift” I’m being billed for.

I sent a card for a free sample book to see if it was something my daughter would like yet I was billed for that and they started sending other cheap things to my house and charging me for them without my knowledge. What can I do? They're trying to charge late fees and everything but I NEVER got a subscription. This is so ridiculous. I use to buy their books at Walmart but I can promise this business won't get any of my money ever again.
