I bought a lovely home in the Mantua district and while my neighbors enjoy power, here we are again, just 3 of us on a old circuit that goes out with the lightest wind. My AC rep said we had 700 mini outages that blew the motherboard. DE put all our neighbors on Barkley st underground and had us slated as well until they realized I was on a different circuit. I have four sons, one with severe asthma and I even asked Dominion to put in a generator but they couldn't as our gas line in across from the electrical input. Frustrating is an understatement. I have gone seven days before w no electricity while my neighbors was back on in a few hours. There is no proactive work, the Cox tech pointed out the modern circuits and showed me the rusted one on my telephone pole where the street has no light. I have lived in Mclean, Annandale and had few issues but here in Mantua, where trees are plenty they need to put us 3 houses underground. Why, because I pay my bills and have no choice but to use them. Btw, great people who work with there but it seems they can't do the right thing, maybe it is time for competition.
