4 visits from a Technician, 4 hours on the phone, and the problem is still not resolved

Our air conditoners stopped working a month ago. I called Direct Energy who sent over a technician. After examining the furnace, he concluded that the transformer was blown and that we needed to order a new one. This took several days. He came back, replaced the transformer and the air conditioner worked for 1 day before stopping again. We called Direct Energy again and another technician arrived, looked at the furnace, and said that the transformer was blown and to order another one. He came back a few days later and after 5 hours proceeded to tell me it was an electical problem and that we needed an electrcian. I called (and personally paid for) an electrician who, after checking all the wires, said the wires are all fine, BUT that he did notice that someone modified the furnace, cut the wire, and tried to replace it with a fuse. The electrician told me that the previous work was very poorly done. The furnaces that were purchased from Direct Energy are 1 year old (we have two for our house). We should not have this problem or have had to have our furnace modified to fix the problem of the transformer. I again called Direct Energy and asked to speak to a Supervisor to try and fix this problem. After over 50 minutes on the phone, I was assured that a Field Manager would call me the next day to set up an inspection and try to fix the problem. I explained that every time they have come we have to take the day off of work. I spoke to them on Wed June 25th and told them I would like them to come on Friday June 27th and that I would make arrangements for either myself or my husband to be present. I waited Thursday for someone to call. As of 2PM, I received no calls, so I then called Direct Energy again. After over 45 mins on the phone, I was told to wait for the Manager to call me. I wanted to get the Manager's phone number to call them and explain, but they refused. It is now 4PM on Thursday and I have still received no call and doubt I will get any call today. This whole situation is absurd. No one seems to care about customer service. I am so angry and disappointed with this company, We have been with them for years, and have purchased all our equipment and plans from them, yet this is how they treat us. It has been over a month that we have been without an air condtioner and Direct Energy could not care less.
