I got an email offer that looked like it was from crest for a sample of new whitening product. I checked out the product, searched for the site on web forums and didn't find any thing. So I signed up for this sample and paid for the shipping $5.99. I get the sample in the mail with instructions and instructions to return it. A month later I get charged $88.97 and receive another package, this tells me that as per the terms and conditions I'm now signed up to get monthly supplies at this price per month and this has no return instructions. In the terms on their site I find out about all this and I'm currently working on returning the product and getting my $ back. From the email I sent them: the offer email I received stated this was a free gift, not a trial that would have to be canceled. Also the package insert that came with the trial said nothing about additional shipments being sent or membership to a monthly service (a copy of the insert is attached). These terms should be made easily noticeable in the offer email , when you sign up , and they should be included with the trial package. They should also be emailed with a receipt after you sign up (I never received any email receipt). Not placed in the fine print of the terms and conditions on your website. This is a deplorable marketing practice and even if I absolutely love your product (which I haven't had time to try out yet) I will never have any dealings with your company again. I will also be sure to note this practice on a few on line forums and with the BBB for others to be warned about this. I will return your product as per the instructions in the terms on your website. If a refund is submitted to my card before the next billing cycle 10/17, I will be disputing the transaction via my credit card company.
