Broker ethics

2

My Mother was talked into letting a cs broker handle her account and he purchased over 30 funds with high maintenance fees, 12b-1 fees, management fees, and load fees. These funds were not top of the line funds compared to their benchmarks and only one was a Charles Schwab fund. How do you explain not putting money into your own company's funds. There were foreign funds, bond funds, and equity funds with poor track records and higher risks when she wanted to protect her principle and not lose money. The broker just made money for himself and cs with the all the extra fees, not the client. Absolutely unethical.
