In June 2008 I went and bought a new Hayward Pump and Filter- Leslie sold me on the DC E40 Pump and said low maintanance easy to use- yeah right- 2 weeks after installing and having a swim party the pump became all clogged up- i called leslies and they told me because we had to many people in the pool??? We had to take the filter apart and clean the fingers off we did that and the next day it was clogged again- with no one in the pool- this time they told me to soak it in ACID- like i want to expose my family to that!!! Plus remember this is a new system less than a month old- Leslies is suppose to service Hayward- no one communicates- we then had to order a new part to the filter and it came from Hayward and it didn't fit even with giving them the number to the pool- took to leslies and told would have to come back because they might get busy and there was no one in the store or parking lot- they told me to call hayward- there is no service at ALL!
