A&C Pumps Ltd ( thepumpspeople.co.uk ) sold me a £600 pump with a 5 year extended warranty. When I told them the pump was no longer working they sold me a service for £195+VAT saying that the warrantee was only valid if I serviced the pump every 6 months. As a sweetener, they promised me in writing to sell me a replacement pump for £300+VAT ((the pump price – minus the service charge) if the service guys could not fix it. They did not fix it and now they refuse to sell the pump at £300. Their written promise is very clear and unambiguous, yet theyr refuse to honour it, which makes them dishonourable in my opinion.
