Shortcut LG
Hello, I would like to file a complaint about misleading Optus customers. Less than a year ago, I contacted Optus to find out which Smart TV model will be suitable for using the Shortcut application. After receiving convincing confirmation that the LG 32LH6047 model with the operating system webOS3. 0 will be a good choice, I bought this TV. I emphasize that the choice in favor of this model was made based on the statements of a Optus employee about the possibility to watch the Shortcut application on it. It was a big disappointment when, when I brought the newly purchased TV home, I found that the Shortcut application CANNOT load. This was followed by an active call exchange with both LG and Optus. LG stated that Optus is responsible for everything, because specific applications are developed there. Optus, on the other hand, claimed that it would be necessary to wait a couple of months and the application on the specific model would work. It was in July 2017. Less than a year has passed and, consideringthat my patience has already been too long, I make calls to LG and Optus again, before resetting to factory settings to keep up to date with current opportunities. There was no change on the part of LG - it was sent to Optus again as the person responsible for the development of the application. An even bigger disappointment followed when a Optus employee announced by phone that, unfortunately, the Shortcut application was not planned for this TV model at the moment. Nothing could be promised about future opportunities. This is a high level of misleading customers - I pay a significant amount for a specific TV model, TRUSTING the official information provided by Optus, and I have not been able to use this product for almost a year. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS? Please see current information on Optus website 28. 03. 2020. I have also reported to the Consumer Protection Center that other people do not get caught in these delusions.
