Uptown Athletics burned down, definitely the cause of the fire was the Men's Sauna (which had also been closed for technical reasons shortly before the fire), which, together with all other shower rooms and changing rooms, was old and worn. After the fire, customers who had prepaid funds for annual subscriptions were offered options to receive gift cards in the amount of these funds, or to visit other sports clubs. Of course, many were not satisfied with each other and they, like me, wanted to recover their personal funds. The company refused to do so, even in mockery and under the pretext of some force majeure (What in this case is saving money for the repair of the sports club premises). Plus, in order to prevent customers from claiming their funds back, a promise was invented that the club would reopen in October 2017 (which is also not true). I DO NOT RECOMMEND ATHLETICS and any of its franchises. Additional- Equipment maintenance and repairs are also a thing for which they tend to save money (in Uptown Athletics, it was the norm that a trainer stood broken for at least a week). In terms of price, it doesn't pay to pay their big subscription fee at all, because the only thing you will get from it will be a mug for Christmas. And for those who care about the Australian environment, or at least to address you in Australian, then this club will not be the right place.
