Poor service
I went to A Apotheca in the center of Marupe and please recommend some medication to the child in case of abdominal virus (vomiting, sore stomach). I was offered Silicea 15 m gel (I need to use 2 sachets each time, which would mean - 6 or 8 sachets in one day; the price of one sachet is ~ 70 cents; a whole box that would go in two days would cost a little over 10 AUD). When I asked about Smecta as an alternative to what was offered, I said I could do it too. When I asked for one packet of each medicine (to understand which one the child would really be able to take), the pharmacist looked very frustrated and asked what the difference was if the two were equal! The fact is that the difference is that a pack of Smecta costs a little over 40 cents, and you only need two of them a day (they would be ~ 90 cents a day),it obviously didn't matter to her! Are staff encouraged to sell more expensive medicines and not offer cheaper alternatives? The seller's attitude at the checkout made me feel very uncomfortable! I will never visit this pharmacy again.
